FAQ

Can your patterns be used for needle point?

Yes! My patterns are formatted at 14 squares per inch. So as long as you use a similar size mesh and paint it yourself, you are good to go!

What is your processing time for custom orders?

1-2 business days. If you don’t get your custom patterns in the afternoon, expect to receive them in the evening. But you can message me anytime with questions or inquiries about your order!

What do your patterns include?

My patterns include the design, size of Aida needed (14), dimensions of the finished size, DMC Stranded embroidery floss color list and skein quantity. There are no directions for sewing/finishing (just the cross stitch portion of the project only) Once you complete your pattern design, what you choose to do with your design is up to you!

Are the color swatches in your patterns true to life?

Yes! I use DMC color swatches when designing. Once printed however, they may change in hue/saturation based on your computer and printer settings.

Can I do one of your patterns as a beginner?

Yes! I’m a firm believer that anyone can cross stitch. It’s a very simple craft that you can pick up quickly! The bigger the pattern doesn’t necessarily mean harder, just that it will take more time!

I’m new to cross stitch. What are some basics I need to learn before I start a pattern?

Learn how to do a loop start. Learn how to stitch and the different methods (Danish & English) and make sure your stitches go in the same direction for neatness and uniformity! Learn how to start a pattern and how to find the middle of it and your fabric. YouTube and TikTok are great resources for learning these things!

What do I do with my stocking design when I'm ready to sew?

The intention for this project is to sew/create your own stocking instead of buying a pre-made one and stitching your design onto it. You may have trouble finding an existing stocking to sew onto, but you are free to choose what to do with it! There are great YouTube tutorials on how to finish a cross stitch stocking, or you can even look into having it professionally finished by your local Needlepoint shop.

Can you alter the color scheme of the pattern(s) I just purchased?

I’m not altering existing patterns at this time. However, you can easily change up the scheme to your liking by choosing colors you want to replace with new ones when buying your floss!

Do you do fully custom designs?

Not currently at this time, but may open that up in the future!

Do you stitch patterns to sell?

Not at this time! Just the patterns for now.

Can I print my pattern onto my fabric?

No, not that I’m aware of. My patterns are counted cross stitch, so you just count the squares on the pattern and copy onto your fabric! Some like to mark out a grid on their Aida to help them count, but that isn’t necessary.
